Best think about movies here is the validated parking for cinema goers. Children n enjoyed their individual boxes of popcorn while the mini pancakes were a great accompaniment to the coffee. The line up was very short and it should have been obvious to staff that we were there for THAT movie. There were 3 people serving. One of the 3 was in the background and really didn't seem to be doing much at all. The other two were in no rush and the fact that the same registers sell tickets as well as all the food is not on.

My purchase took about 1. The people in front of me who also purchased some food/drinks took 5 minutes. I felt the staff were inadequately trained or too young or too inexperienced or just didn't give a toss given it was nearing the end of the night. Nice cinema. Norwood Hoyts is centrally located for most Adelaidians, right in the middle of The Parade. As it is in a suburban area, there are plenty of places to park for free. The next cool thing about this theatre is that there are plenty of places around it that offer great food! So if you want lunch or dinner first it is too easy! I think that has something to do with it's positioning being so central and easy to get to.

Why is it that cinemas always have to give something a corny stupid name? Anyway, it has a very big screen, but best of all is the seats. They leather or something similar and are really comfortable. Good back support and soft. But not soft enough to put you to sleep. Love those seats so much!

Picture quality and sound in the extreme theater is really amazing! Wow, how technology has really changed over the last 1. Overall, a good cinema experience if you want to see something Hollywood. This is the first cinema that we have been to in Australia.

The location is good and it is convenient to have eateries inside the complex in case you arrive early for your movie. We watched Star Wars - The Force Awakens and thought the screen and sound quality were OK. The seats were elevated enough to have a good view of the screen even with people seated in front of us. Areas of improvement include the cost of everything from tickets, to parking to food, especially given the amount of advertisements we had to sit through. We breathed a sigh of relief when the commercials and trailers were finally over. The popcorn was a huge disappointment as well, it was way too salty and we could barely stand to eat half of it.

If you dine at Cafe Burnelli in Glynde and order a main meal, you can buy a $7. Hoyts. What a deal. Plus I love this cinema. The chairs are soo comfortable and big. And the rooms seem bigger to. Overall this is a pretty standard cinema, a bit pricey in terms of food, drink and ticket. But the main thing that discourages me from going here to watch movies is the horrendous amount of ads prior to the movie.

When Harry Potter came out last year it was raining and our taxi didn't pick us up, and we ran from St Peters to the cinema. BUT we still made it in time for the movie we were over 3. Great for catching a meal or dessert before or after a movie. There's a small seating area where you can grab a coffee but there's usually no seats available. It makes me feel like I'm living in another era, when the studio lights are dimmed, trailers start rolling, and the candy guy (in uniform) pushes the cart in for people to walk down and select snacks.

I love it! It's so cute, and I don't think I've ever seen it anywhere else in Adelaide. Then again, perhaps other cinemas do it but I only ever come here.

The candy cart just adds so much character. Or it could just be me unleashing my inner 5 year old child. The studios are kept clean, and although it's not really a big cinema complex, it plays quite a lot of movies and holds many sessions. Come here on Tuesdays if you're like me and don't see the point of paying twice as much on any other day. Have a pre- movie meal at one of the many selections on The Parade. I should warn you though, sometimes the trailers go for half an hour, sometimes ten minutes. It's weird and unpredictable - but kick back, relax and enjoy!

Yesterday, for the first time I came here to see a film on the Xtreme. Screen (yes, that's how it's spelled) and I was not disappointed! I guess it helps that the film was rad (Kick Ass 2, since you were wondering) but the picture quality on this screen was second to none - it was like I was watching a REALLY BIG version of my home HD TV - very impressive for a projection. The cinema was mostly clean, even though it currently feels like you're walking into a ghost town as you enter (many of the nearby businesses have shut down, for renovations perhaps?) but the real downer was the cost of the combo popcorn. I don't normally buy this stuff but for my boyfriend it seems like a trip to the cinema isn't complete with out it.
